Dear District 6 Community:
I feel truly honored to have been given the opportunity to work with the wonderful people in Zion District 6 as we all work together for the futures of our children. I have been overwhelmed by the warmth and passion of everyone in the district that I have started to share time with, and there is no question that we all have a common vision of providing educational excellence for our children. As we look forward to beginning the 2008-09 school year, I am always amazed at the energy and spirit children bring to school each year. The reenergizing that the summers allow provide for an exciting fall each and every year. A refueling has also been done at the school buildings themselves, as many significant construction and maintenance projects are coming to completion to enhance the learning environments for our students and staff. I am already excited for August 25th when our students and teachers establish a new journey of learning. Zion Elementary District 6 is proud to have a mission of Excellence without Exception. This reflects the school community’s high standards and passion for each and every child’s successful future. It reflects an overarching sense of commitment for us to work together in a process that develops children who excel in character, academics and their numerous activities. Excellence without Exception provides us all with a great opportunity and responsibility to take an active role in securing bright futures for our youngsters….this is a wonderful opportunity. I look forward to meeting all of you as the year progresses, and together let’s work to make 2008-09 the best yet for our children.
