Articulation Therapy:
Children are enrolled for group or individual sessions when articulation skills are inappropriate for their age.
Fluency Therapy:
When an atypical fluency disorder interferes with communicative competency, a student is enrolled in therapy. Atypical fluency disorders are characterized by the following breaks in the flow of speech: sound/syllable repetitions, sound prolongations, and silent blocks with apparent struggle to resume speaking.
Language Therapy:
Children are enrolled for groups or individual sessions when delays exist in receptive and/or expressive language skills.
Voice Therapy:
Children are enrolled in voice therapy after a medical recommendation has been acquired. Voice therapy is provided to improve quality, volume, rate, and/or pitch.
Students qualifying for speech and language services may be placed on a waiting list until the beginning of the next semester if the pathologist's caseload meets or exceeds state limits.
