Special education shall be provided for students who are physically, mentally, auditorily, visually, emotionally, or perceptually handicapped to a degree that makes it impractical or impossible for them to benefit from or to participate in the normal classroom program, consistent with the provisions of Public Law 94-142.

The District will provide SEDOL and/or District services for students qualifying for Special Education Services. Parental consent is a requirement for both formal evaluations and placement.

All requirements and regulations of special education as designed by PL 94-142, Illinois Rules and Regulations, and the Illinois School Code will be followed.
