It is the mission of the Zion Elementary District Number 6 Gifted Program to nurture and enable gifted students to achieve their potential and make significant contributions to society by providing a multifaceted program that taps a wide variety of resources in the schools and community-at-large and encourages exploration and experimentation beyond the traditional curriculum.

The following criteria will be used to determine a child's eligibility for the Enrichment Program. The student will need to qualify on a minimum of 2 criteria for inclusion in this program.

1. Student Achievement Index (SAI) of 125 or higher
2. Achievement test composite score of 90% in at least two areas (National Norms - Reading, Math, Test composite)
3. Composite grade point of 3.00
